The first Church of the Covenant worship service was held on March 3, 1996 at Iroquois Middle School. On May 31, 1998, Church of the Covenant was officially chartered by the Presbyterian Church (USA). Today, the church is located just off 23 Mile Road in Macomb. It holds contemporary worship services each Sunday as well as Sunday School, "Believing and Belonging" classes and Bible Study throughout the week. In past years, members of the congregation have participated in the East Macomb County Crop Walk and embarked on missionary trips to New Orleans. The church is involved in the Angel Food Ministry outreach program and also provides a food pantry to the local community. Church of the Covenant strives to be family-engaged and community-oriented.
