Camp Tanuga is located in Kalkaska, Mich., on more than 220 wooded acres in the heart of northern Michigan s vacationland. The sandy shore of Lake Manistee provides the backdrop for a combination of cedar log cabins and modern-day traditional construction. Campers and staff live together in updated cabins that feature electricity and full bathroom facilities. Other modern facilities include a log dining room and kitchen, health center with on-site doctors and nurses, recreational hall, a six-lane swimming pool, rock climbing wall, tennis courts, softball fields, basketball courts and an equestrian center with stables and a riding ring. Campers can choose from activities, such as water skiing, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, arts and crafts, mountain biking, rock climbing, trapeze, drama, dance, archery and a variety of other sports.
