The Berkley Historical Museum is located behind Berkley City Hall and Berkley Police Station. It is housed in a three-story brick building that was the site of the old Fire Hall, built in 1928. The museum features a variety of artifacts from the city's beginnings as a village in 1923 that grew to be a city in 1932. Artifacts donated by residents and the city's archives are on display. Items include photographs from the building's original functions as a firehouse. Glass displays with old games, vials from the corner drugstore and other historical collections are also on display. The museum is run by volunteers and docents.
