The Antrim County Road Commission governs any activity and use of county roads apart from highway travel. It does this through a permit system that is required before it permits any new activity, such as building a new drive and reconstructing and paving an existing driveway. The commission does not permit some activities that include putting up fences, filling up existing drainage ditches and dumping debris and any encroachment considered hazardous by it. Its offices are open Monday through Friday. The Antrim County Road Commission has its office in Mancelona, Mich.
