Founded in 1904, American Concrete Institute is aims to increase concrete knowledge by conducting seminars, certification programs and publishing technical documents. The institute has nearly 15,000 members in more than 80 countries. It has produced more than 400 technical documents, reports, guides, specifications and codes for the best use of concrete and also conducts educational seminars each year. It provides certification programs for field technician, craftsman and laboratory technician. The institute has partnerships with the Chilean Cement and Concrete Institute, the Colombian Association for Earthquake Engineering, the Concrete Institute of Australia, the Concrete Society of Southern Africa, Japan Concrete Institute and the Swedish Concrete Association. Its bookstore provides various resources and materials in structural concrete and commentary. American Concrete Institute is headquartered in Farmington Hills, Mich.
