History
In may of 1996, Jorge Sousa opened White Rose Bakery on Pleasant street in direct competition with four other local Portuguese bakeries that were on the same street. In it's first five years, the bakery had it's struggles but hung on through thick and thin using radio marketing to gain it's regular customers. 24 years later, White Rose bakery is the ONLY Portuguese bakery in the Flint Village area.
Specialties
Our bakery specializes in making true traditional Portuguese bread, as well as pastry. In 2018, we renovated and created a cafe seating area, where you may enjoy our sandwiches that are made fresh daily, one of our many pastry and a coffee or beverage of your choice. White Rose is your perfect stop for a coffee or snack in the morning.
