Built in 1904, the Beatrice Herford's Vokes Theatre was created as tribute to some of London's storied music halls. The Vokes Players began to produce public performances starting in 1937 and has currently evolved into one of the premier community theaters in New England. The theater is one of the region's preeminent local theaters and puts on numerous productions throughout the year. Actors are welcome to audition for productions, usually with a 2-minute monologue that best showcases their abilities. Check the main site for production details and schedules or for information on auditioning or donating to the theater.
