Congressman James McGovern, who represents the Massachusetts third congressional district, is serving his seventh term in office since 1996. McGovern is also vice chairman of the House Rules Committee and a member of the House Budget Committee. He is also co-chair of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission and the House Hunger Caucus. The Congressman boasts the $2.8 million that was granted to regional transit authorities in Attleboro and Southeastern Massachusetts to pay for new buses and for repairs to property and infrastructure.
