Excel High School is a college preparatory that serves more than 300 students in grades 9 through 12. The school has partnerships with Boston Private Industry Council, Bunker Hill Community College, the Massachusetts College of Art and Boston College. Its core curriculum includes English, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. Excel High School specializes in English Language Learners and bilingual programs, as well as special education programs for students with physical and developmental disabilities. The school is located in South Boston, Mass. It is governed by Boston Public Schools, which operates approximately 150 elementary, middle and high schools.
