A landmark of Old Scollay Square, the Red Hat is a classic Boston bar. It has been operating for more than 100 years and it survived Prohibition by leading a double-life as a respectable establishment during the day and as a speakeasy by night. Today, it hosts team trivia nights and 10-cent wing nights, as well as offering traditional pub food such as Angus burgers, bourbon steak tips, fish and chips and sandwiches and salads. The kitchen is open until midnight, and Red Hat can provide catering for up to 150 people. Gift certificates are available.
