History
Located across the street from The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers is The Park Plaza Castle. The Park Plaza Castle was constructed in 1891 at the 150th anniversary of the founding of the First Corps of Cadets to function as an Armory. During the police strike of 1919, the Cadets served as the sole force to uphold law and order. The Park Plaza Castle is a National Historic Landmark and was listed with the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
