The Stoughton Fire Department's Station #2 is located on Central Street, a little more than a mile from the downtown. Problems with mold forced this building to close in 2006, shortly after it was built. But Station #2 reopened in October 2010 and now serves as the Fire Department's headquarters, housing the department's administrative offices. David M. Jardin is the current Fire Chief and Mark Dolloff is the current deputy chief.
The mission of the Stoughton Fire Department, according to its website, is to "minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical emergencies, environmental, and other disasters...through fire suppression, advanced life support medical services, fire prevention, public education, code enforcement, and other emergent and non-emergent activities with properly trained and fully equipped personnel."
The business line for the Central Street Station is 781-344-3170, or 781-341-4084, or 781-297-0922.
The emergncy line for both the Central Street and Freeman Street stations is 911 or 781-344-3131.
