History
My name is Carmine Sordillo. Back in mid 60's, I moved to the U.S. to start a new adventure. I traveled with a dream to become the best tailor. This dream inhabited in my heart since I was a youngster. I fell in love with tailoring at a very tender age; and as a result, I became an apprentice in Italy. I did not know, at the time, that moving across oceans from Italy would change my life. In 1968, my own shop, Sordillo's Sartoria su misura was born as my patience to find the right tailor for my clothes wore out. At Sordillo's, my passion is tailoring, menswear and su misura. In Italian, the term 'Su Misura' means tailor-made. It stands for precision, artistry, and uncompromising attention to detail. The sensory grace of Italian fashion and design is grounded in a way of life that savors and celebrates the five senses. Much has changed in the past 48 years, but my work has expanded, evolved, and gotten better. The tradition to make fine clothes continues in my new magnificent setting.
