History
Sally started her college consulting business in 2010 after spending several years in different communications, recruiting and career counseling roles. After sending her two sons off to college, Sally realized that for the first time in years, she had some extra time. Her daughter was still in high school, but she realized that not only had they all survived the college process, they had learned a great deal about how to do it efficiently, effectively and without (too much) emotion.
Specialties
As a higher education professional, Sally demystifies the college search and application process for parents, and helps high school students devise and create a plan that will get them in to the best school for them. This can be a stressful time, and it doesn't have to be! Sally provides just the right amount of organization, information and humor to relieve the tension that often builds between teen and parent around this process. She can assist you with career counseling, creating checklist and timeline, school search and selection, navigating the common app, essay ideas and edits, and preparing for the college interview. By day, Sally is Director of Post-Graduate Planning (career counselor) at Olin College of Engineering, and often works with college students and recent grads to help them find internships and jobs as well.
