For over 33 years, Sabra has served fresh, all-natural Middle Eastern fare, such as falafel, chicken kabobs and hommus, with no preservatives, MSG or chemicals. It does not cook with butter, and 90% of its food is vegan. On weekdays, there is a reasonably priced all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Catering services are available. Sabra Restaurant sells its line of fresh hommus, tahini and tabouli to Whole Foods stores in Massachusetts. Owner Elie Saroufim says that Sabra restaurant, located on the corner of Union and Langley Streets, is Newton's oldest restaurant with the same owner.
