Founded in 1969, Roxbury Tenants of Harvard is a nonprofit housing and human service organization. Its mission is to insure community participation in decision-making, to foster the improvement of housing, recreation and related facilities for the residents of Massachusetts. Roxbury Tenants of Harvard offers a variety of on-site programs, including its afterschool program. The organization also operates RTH Children's Center, which is a day care center that can serve more than 50 children and Betty Powers Library and Computer Learning Center with nearly 10 computers. Roxbury Tenants of Harvard offers a range of classes for youth and adults, including classes in arts and culture, athletics, recreation, technology, computers and educational enrichment. The organization also plans special events throughout the year for the community. In addition, Roxbury Tenants of Harvard participates in design and review process for expansion of the Longwood Medical Area's institutions and related projects in Massachusetts.
