Berkshire Community Church Congregational
HistoryIn 1981, the founding members set out on a journey of faith. They sought to establish a church where all were accepted, to walk closer to God, and to grow in their understanding of their relationship to Jesus Christ. The church met in members homes, rented spaces, and borrowed places until they built their permanent home on land donated by one of their members. Many hands went into the building which was donated in 1988. In 2002 a new Sunday School wing and sanctuary were completed.SpecialtiesBerkshire Community Church is a small rural church committed to following Jesus and reaching out to others in need. We enjoy heartfelt Spirit-led worship in a warm, accepting and friendly setting. We dress casually for worship, and believe we have been gathered together to serve God. Reflecting Jesus' example, we minister to all without regard to age, race, gender, ethnicity, social status, sexual orientation or differing ability. We welcome visitors, seekers and church-shoppers. We have an active Sunday School program. We include a broad spectrum of ages within our fellowship.
