Owner, chef and server Debbie Shore suggests not being in a rush when you dine at Prose; rather, sit back and enjoy the food, and the impressive beer selection or a nice bottle of wine, at a leisurely pace. Tuesday through Thursday, Shore offers smaller versions of her dishes ($6-$8) which she advocates sharing with the table. Friday and Saturday, Shore offers an a la carte menu and select items as part of a three-course dinner for $23. Her self-proclaimed "quirky" menu changes daily and typically features vegan, vegetarian, non-vegetarian and gluten-free items. Prose has 10 tables capable of seating 24 people, but Shore suggests calling ahead for a reservation; the tables fill up quickly for both dinners and Sunday brunch. Prose also hosts private events and every other month presents "Poetry & Prose at Prose" during which you can enjoy the buffet dinner as local artists read their work.
