The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, Jurisdiction of Massachusetts is the oldest Black Organization in America, with a legacy dating back to 1775. Founded by Prince Hall and 14 men of color, it marked the first time that men of color were made Masons in America. Today, the Prince Hall Grand Lodge has over 4,500 lodges worldwide, forming over 47 sovereign Jurisdictions with a membership of over 300,000 Masons who can trace their origins to African Lodge No. 459 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Under the leadership of the seventy-fourth Most Worshipful Grand Master, M.W. Bro. Justin A. Petty, the Prince Hall Grand Lodge continues to carry on the legacy started by Prince Hall. The lodge offers a range of activities and events, including the biennial reopening of African Lodge No. 459, which features festivities and a theme that celebrates legends and legacy. With a commitment to brotherhood and the principles of Freemasonry, the Prince Hall Grand Lodge welcomes visitors to explore its rich history and traditions.
