Laura Wirkkala, the Laura of Laura's Sewing School, has been passionate about hand crafts since she was a young girl. She now channels that passion into teaching others at her sewing school, along with her staff of teachers. The school offers small group classes (no more than five students) to be able to offer individual instruction. Each student works on his or her own project, rather than there being one project for the whole group. Classes often turn into cohesive groups and become a social, creative time, as well as one for learning. Students range in age from nine to 80 and beyond. Classes can be paid for by cash, check or credit card, and gift certificates are available.
