Perkins School for The Blind is the oldest school for the blind in the country. In fact, Helen Keller and her teacher, Anne Sullivan, attended the school. Today, the school educates 200 students on campus, 280 in Massachusetts public schools and 45,000 in 64 countries around the globe. The school opened in 1829 in Boston, and moved to the 38-acre campus in Watertown in 1910.
