HistoryIn 1997, our founder and director emeritus Alice Gollan, had a vision to create a music class for families that was hip and exciting for them to experience, as well as for her to teach. With four families in the basement of a church in Brookline, Family Music Makers was born! FMM gained it's true identity in 2000 with the production of the first CD in the Sing and Dance Collection. Since then, seven CD's with over 200 songs have been recorded! Alice was among the first in the area to connect the need that young Boston families had for good music with an actual program that fit that need. Thousands of children and families in the Boston area have enjoyed the FMM experience. Now, over 10 years later, the program has seen many changes, and under the direction of Linx, FMM is ready for the next 10!SpecialtiesFor over 10 years Family Music Makers has been delivering quality music classes throughout the Boston and Metro West area. Our unique repertoire is fun, engaging, and educational. The music is well-produced, smart, and appealing to both kids and their parents. Our fun, interactive classes are geared toward newborns to 5 years old and incorporate singing, dancing, instrumental jam sessions and more!
