As one of 28 departments in the state that were awarded the Certificate of Accreditation by the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, the Northborough Police Department is dedicated to keeping its town safe, protected and secure. Serving the town 24/7, the NPD is the dispatch center for police, fire and EMS calls. Led by Police Chief Mark E. Leahy, the department "helps people navigate life inside the home and outside the home." Leahy has been in law enforcement for 34 years, and with the NPD for more than seven years.
