Established in 2003, Blessed Beginnings is a nonprofit preschool for children ages 3 to 6 located at Christ the King Lutheran Church. An outreach ministry of CTK, Blessed Beginnings is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Under an advisory committee of CTK members, director Gerry Hava oversees the program with help from teachers Lynne Conroy and Brenda Arena, all three of whom are certified by the Department of Early Education and Care. The program runs from the beginning of September through the Friday after Memorial Day and consists of a Tuesday/Thursday half-day (9 - 11:30am) program for 3-year-olds and a Monday-Wednesday-Friday half-day program for 4- and 5-year-olds. There is also a "Stay and Play" program on Thursdays until 12:15pm.
