Every day the Y's impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for a common good. As a 501(c)(3) volunteer-founded, volunteer-led organization the intent is to foster social connectedness, strengthen support networks, and encourage investment in our communities which in turn serves to strengthen the foundations of our community. This is all done at no cost to the neighboring cities and towns thereby lessening the burdens of government. Membership dues support everyday operations. However, the Merrimack Valley YMCA endeavors to secure grants and conduct annual fundraising campaigns and events necessary to sustain all the financial assistance, charitable services and provide access to people of all income levels. Specialties
We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. At the Y, children learn how to be their best selves. Merrimack YMCA Child Care Programs serve children ages 15 months to 14 years old in a nurturing environment that offers a safe place to learn, develop healthy relationships, and build self-reliance. All of our programs are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Our Toddler and Preschool programs are National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAYEC) accredited. Enrolled children receive a FREE YMCA membership. We accept Child Care Circuit vouchers and financial assistance is available for those who qualify. The Merrimack Valley YMCA offers full day School Age Child Care during school vacations and on days when school is cancelled. Families must call ahead to ensure we have the space that day and fill out a My Y Day-Snow Day form and a My Y Day packet (found on website).
