As one of the nations's oldest non-profit environmental research organizations, Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences is dedicated to conserving natural resources for both humans and wildlife. Through science and public engagement, Manomet works to integrate society's social, economic and environmental values to create sustainable systems for present and future generations.
Manomet's climate change and energy initiative focuses on adaptation and mitigation strategies for human communities and wildlife habitats, as well as guiding communities in making informed decisions about renewable energy. Manomet's Natural Capital Initiative is helping in the stewardship of nature's goods and services, like clean water and air, trees, soil and open space, and the organizations' Shorebird Recovery Project is leading one of the most ambitious and extensive approaches to hemispheric, large scale wildlife conservation.
This is Manomet's headquarters, but it has offices in Maine, Vermont and Chile. This office is not open to the public. However, there are special events for members. Check the Web site for details about special events and membership.
