The Malden WIC Program office is located in the Hallmark Health Building on Commercial Street. WIC is a government backed program that provides supplemental nutrition assistance for pregnant and post-partum women and infants and children up to age five. WIC provides vouchers for basic food items such as milk, cheese, cereal, eggs, fruits and vegetables. This supplemental assistance is based upon family size and income. However, all women who are mothers or moms-to-be are encouraged to apply for WIC. The staff also offers nutritional consultations and classes and instruction in parenting and breast-feeding.
