Managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Lorraine Campground lies within the boundaries of the Harold Parker State Forest in Andover. The campground features 89 campsites that are intentionally spread apart throughout wooded areas to give campers a more private camping experience. Camping is offered between late May and early September, and the sites do not have electric or water hookups but do feature picnic tables and a grill.
The Harold Parker State Forest consists of more than 3,000 acres of forest in the towns of North Andover, North Reading, Andover and Middleton. Notable historical figures including Frederick Douglass, Harriet Beecher Stowe and William Lloyd Garrison are said to have frequented the area.
