SpecialtiesThe first classroom I worked in was as an ESP and a class with 7 children who were developmentally delayed, and some were nonverbal. I have learned some sign language and using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). I have also substituted in a second-grade classroom. I would also do recess and lunch monitoring. My two older children are developmentally delayed so, I have had a lot of experience in IEP meetings and making sure my children received services. My son also was born with a rare skin condition. I have experience with special needs children and children who are medically fragile.
