History
The Guild operates the only Catholic Labor School in the nation (in continuous operation since 1953) and is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Boston. The Guild's School is open to all and provides engaging, high-quality, affordably-priced labor education, professional training and leadership development, offering classes in labor law, collective bargaining, steward training, union governance, public speaking, organizing, labor history, and the philosophy of unionism. The school has provided labor education for more than 45,000 workers, including more than 60 international union presidents and all the presidents of Massachusetts' state labor councils since WWII.
Specialties
The Guild serves by providing education, neutral resources, and facilities where management, labor, and third parties may meet to network, negotiate, and create mutually sustainable solutions.
