History
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Today, Father McGivney is being considered for sainthood. The Whitman council #347 was founded June 13, 1898

Looking for a place to host your next big event? Knights of Columbus Council 347 located on Route 18 in Whitman, MA offers our function center for rent for your next occasion. Our spacious, elegant banquet hall can hold up to 150 people. (130 with a dance floor). It is equipped with a 10-foot screen, projector, WiFi, fully stocked bar and the use of our kitchen facilities. Rental fees include a bartender, which is mandatory, even if it is an alcohol-free function. You may bring in your own caterer or use our local caterer. For smaller parties, the Kennedy Room & Lounge comfortably holds up to 50 people. It is equipped with a fully stocked bar with comfortable seating, cable TV, Wi-Fi, cocktail tables, booths, and the use of our kitchen facilities.
