Dr. Joseph Zhou is a Board-certified specialist in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and is also Board-certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Zhou received his Doctor of Medicine from Xian Medical University in Xian, China, and his PhD in Nutritional Science from Massey University in New Zealand. Dr. Zhou completed a Residency in Pediatrics at Cooper University Hospital, UMDNJ, in Camden, New Jersey, and a Clinical Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School). He was a Research Fellow and then a member of the Research Faculty in the Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University Medical Center. Most recently, Dr. Zhou practiced Allergy and Immunology in Rhode Island before joining Prima CARE as the Director of the Division of Allergy & Immunology. Dr. Zhou is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (FACAAI), a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and a member of the New England Society of Allergy. He has co-authored over 20 articles that have appeared in the Journal of Experimental Medicine, European Journal of Immunology, Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, Immunity, Molecular Biosystem, Mucosal Immunology, and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He has presented numerous scientific papers and has regularly given professional and community-based lectures.
