The Jewish Community Relations Council, also known as JCRC, is the public affairs arm of the Jewish community in Bay Area in California. It represents synagogues and Jewish organizations and serves San Francisco, The Peninsula, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The organization provides a range of community outreach programs. Founded in 1938, the Jewish Community Relations Council also offers advocacy, education and civic work programs. It operates the Jewish Public Affairs Committee. The organization is involved in various interfaith councils and dialogue programs, including the San Francisco Interfaith Council, Marin Interfaith Council, and United Religions Initiative. The Jewish Community Relations Council is a part of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.
