History
One of the oldest cultural institutions in Berkshire County, Images Cinema has been continuously operating as a movie theater since 1916, when Hiram C. Walden converted a former Williams College fraternity house into a movie theater. It has been known as the Walden, the Nickelodeon, and College Cinema, and finally Images Cinema. Images was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1998, and since then has dedicated itself to celebrating film as an art form, a way to build community and a source of entertainment.
