In addition to responding to fires and other emergencies, the Holliston Fire Department, under Chief Michael Cassidy, offers low-cost CPR, first aid and fire safety training to the community.
HFD also conducts the following inspections: aboveground storage tank installation, fire detection systems, fire suppression systems, kitchen suppression systems, industrial suppression systems, oil burners, propane tank installations, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide and underground storage tank removal/installation.
The following permits must also be obtained through the fire department: agricultural burning, black powder, blasting, fireworks, fuel storage and open burning.
HFD also partners with Fire Service Exploring, a program for young men and women ages 14-21 who are interested in careers in fire service.
