Harmony Grove Elementary, 169 Leland St, Framingham, MA 01702, US

Built in the 1940s, this elementary school was renovated and expanded in 2000 and named for President Woodrow Wilson. It is located on the south side of Framingham, near the Sherborn line. Principal Robin Welch, who has led the school since 1999, was named the Thomas C. Passios Outstanding Principal of the Year in 2005. In conjunction with Framingham State's Center for Global Studies, Wilson Elementary has a global studies program where "every child is a star." The program helps students develop an awareness and appreciation of diversity, which is vital in a school where for more than 75% of the students English is not their first language. The school has a Portuguese Bilingual/Sheltered English program. About one out of every five students is in a special education program. Woodrow Wilson Elementary has a Parent Center, with many resources. The PTO typically holds meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm. The PTO and the school jointly hold a popular Farm Party in the spring and a Planet Book program.
