History
The Credit Union was organized in 1935 by fifteen employees of General Electric Company under the name Pittsfield G.E. Employees Credit Union (PGEECU) The Credit Union has grown and changed a lot over the years. In 1994, they expanded their membership to include anyone who lived or worked in Berkshire County and changed their name to Greylock Federal Credit Union. Today Greylock has 13 full-service branches throughout Berkshire County, more than 70,000 members and over $1 billion in assets. The Credit Union finances more auto loans and mortgages than any other lender in the County.
