Established in 1948, The Gloucester Housing Authority offers a range of housing opportunities to low-income families. The authority operates several public housing, rental assistance, homeownership and resident service programs. It has developed various properties, such as Seven Arthur Street, Curtis B. Clark Building, George W. McPherson Park, Poplar Park and John W. Sheedy Building. The Gloucester Housing Authority owns and manages more than 75 units of the Federal Public Housing at Willowood Gardens. The Authority provides one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. The authority s properties feature parking areas, washers, living rooms, gardens and dryers.
