The Franklin Regional Council of Governments is a regional municipal services and planning organization based in the upper Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts. Its members are municipalities, who choose to work together to produce public services and advocate common goals. The FRCG is a means and resource coordination of public policy and service delivery. By linking and coordinating planning, services, and advocacy, the FRCOG assists its constituent communities in benefiting from regional cooperation while retaining local control. The FRCOG s service region is composed of the 26 towns that make up Franklin County, among the most rural areas in Massachusetts. The region covers 740-square-miles and is populated by more than 70,000 residents.
