Florence Sawyer School, established in 1997, serves the educational needs of students in prekindergarten through grade eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 800 students and is governed by a council that advises the principal on ways to improve educational opportunities for all students. It provides special education to students with special needs, as well as classes in related arts that include art, physical education, band, chorus and general music, technology education and instructional technology. Its library and media center has a wide collection of fiction and nonfiction books, and subscribes to various magazines, newspapers and online databases. The school has athletic teams in basketball, cross country, baseball, softball and track and field. Florence Sawyer School is a part of the Nashoba Regional School District and is located in Bolton, Mass.
