History
In January of 2021, Ariel left her full time job as a physical therapist and teamed up with local fitness studio owner Elise Caira to bring you Fixxed, a first of its kind recovery studio. Fixxed opened its doors in January of 2021, with the goal to create a space where physical therapy and bodywork services are more accessible. Ariel and Elise believe that injury treatment and recovery should be hassle free, and aim to make your physical therapy experience as convenient as possible.

All techniques are performed by a licensed physical therapist, including: dry needling (with and without STIM), Graston Technique, cupping, assisted stretch with a massage gun, and foam rolling. Dry needling uses a trigger point release technique where a clean, solid monofilament needle is inserted into the muscle belly. The benefits of dry needling include relief for muscular pain and stiffness, easing trigger points to improve flexibility and improving range of motion. Cupping is the therapeutic application of cups designed to release and mobilize soft tissue restrictions, increase blood flow, reduce tissue stiffness, reduce muscle spasms, or release nerve entrapments. Typical service time is 20 minutes (evaluation, explanation of treatment, treatment and re-evaluation). Come try one of our services that will help you feel your best, right in Wakefield!
