First United Methodist Church, 647 Main St, Melrose, MA 02176, US

The First Baptist Church of Melrose dates back to 1896, about three months after the formation of the First Baptist Society of Melrose. Its current home, a large granite church located across from Melrose City Hall, was built in the early 20th century at the site of the church's brick chapel. Today, the church offers youth group programs, adult education, bible studies, outreach programs, missions and Sunday School. First Baptist also runs Chime Time Children's Center preschool and Pantry of Hope food pantry out of its Main Street home.
