Family Service Association of Greater Fall River was founded in 1888 by members of the Fruit and Flower Mission of Fall River. It was established as a group of community churches and charities to serve families as an organized social service agency. The agency was formerly known as Associated Charities of Fall River, and focused on providing nourishment to children with tuberculosis and aid to the blind. Located in Fall River, Mass., the agency offers several counseling programs, such as mental health and substance abuse clinics, and multilingual and employee assistance programs. It also offers the St. Vincent s home, divorcing parents education and enhanced outpatient programs.
