History
Elizabeth Benedict's design career began overseas. While working for a local gallery, she joined the Hong Kong Textile Society and designed a line of table linens under the name Essential Asia. Once she returned stateside (and in between having four children), she earned a certificate for Decorative Arts at The New England School of Art and Design in Boston. She founded Elizabeth Home Decor & Design in 2005 and opened a brick and mortar studio in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. In January of 2021, Elizabeth obtained the space next to her studio and transformed it into a lovely coffee shop/cafe, flower shop, and gallery, called Petal & Press. In addition to limited inside seating, there is a beautiful courtyard for enjoying your coffee and treats.
