From the Top Dance Center owner Lila Boates is a former national dance competitor. She has a bachelor's degree in fitness and a minor in dance, and her choreography has received national awards. The team of dance instructors at this school are educated professionals and have participated in all levels of competitions. Competition classes at the dance center provide students with more intensive training and lets them participate in regular meets. Broadway dance classes combine the art of interpretive dance and stage production. Other forms of dance taught at From the Top Dance Center include ballet and pointe, African jazz, jazz, hip-hop, cheer, cardio kickboxing and zumba. Each year, all dancers perform in a themed recital. Classes are available for all ages and are taught in an individual, family or class setting. During the summer, From The Top Dance Center holds weeklong dance camps. In addition, there is an on-site boutique that sells required shoes and uniforms and will take special orders.
