The Cushing House is a program administered by Gavin Foundation, which is an organization that offers various services for individuals and families who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction. Cushing House provides a transitional care residence for youths living in disorganized, fragmented and dysfunctional circumstances. It has a capacity of more than 15 beds for men and over 10 beds for women between the ages of 16 and 19. The program offers substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, health education, case management, parent support and referral services. Cushing House also provides psychoeducation, primary care assurance, vocational, educational, recovery support, and aftercare and discharge planning services. It operates various individual groups on morning meditation, house meetings, individual counseling and relapse prevention. Cushing House is located in South Boston, Mass.
