Cushing Academy is a coeducational boarding school, founded in 1865. The academy enrolls more than 400 students and offers classes from grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes computer science, English, American history, social studies, mathematics, science and technology, business studies and physical education. The academy also offers visual and performing arts, such as silversmithing, architectural design, photography, music, dance and drama. It also organizes various student clubs, including International Club, Muslim Student Association and peer tutoring. The academy offers sports programs, such as baseball, basketball, golf, lacrosse, softball, tennis, hockey, volleyball, cross country, football and soccer. Located in Ashburnham, Mass., Cushing Academy is a member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and National Association of Independent Schools.
