One of the most active human services providers in Attleboro is the Attleboro Area Council of Churches. The organization first opened its doors 25 years ago. Today, it operates six soup kitchens in Attleboro and surrounding cities and towns. Free round trip bus transportation is available to all of AACC's soup kitchens. The AACC also provides other services through its Homes with Heart, Elder Ministries, Chaplaincy at Sturdy Memorial Hosptial and breakfast programs. The organization has 500 volunteers led by a small part-time staff of three.
