A trip to California molded the idea for Clay Dreams in the thoughts of Rosemary, the owner and a former seller of ceramics supplies. She saw some paint-your-own pottery establishments while on vacation and decided thatt would be just the thing for her and for Arlington. This led to Clay Dreams, which has been an East Arlington creative destination for the past 11 years. Visitors find an array of ceramics that they can put their imagination to work on, using the paints provided. All employees have extensive experience and knowledge and are available for assistance and advice. Customers pay per piece and then a small studio fee. Items from which to choose include plates, mugs, serving dishes, figurines and seasonal items. The shop also hosts parties and offers classes.
