Cape Cod Conservatory was founded in 1956 by a committee of people interested in starting a conservatory on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. The conservatory serves as a cultural center of artistic standards that provide instructions to qualified students who wish to pursue the arts. The organization offers private lessons in various instrument groups, including keyboard, strings, brass, winds and percussion, as well as private and group voice. It also offers classes in ballet, ballroom, flamenco, hip-hop, jazz, Middle Eastern, yoga and tap. The organization offers art classes for all age groups, featuring instructions in watercolor painting, drawing, art and clay modeling. In its drama classes, the students learn acting skills by playing theater games, design and build their own puppets, and enjoy a variety of games and improvisations. Cape Cod Conservatory has offices in West Barnstable and Falmouth, Mass.
